MEP who investigated spyware was himself hacked with Pegasus, researchers find
Forensic researchers at the Citizen Lab say former MEP Stelios Kouloglou, who sat on the European Parliament's PEGA committee investigating commercial spyware, was hacked with NSO Group's Pegasus at least twice in 2022 and 2023. No government has been named, but the case has reignited the Parliament's long-running fight over mercenary surveillance and rule-of-law safeguards across the EU.
